HELP PROTECT
CALIFORNIA'S BOBCATS

During our birding trips to Point Reyes, we spent many evenings observing and photographing bobcats. Watching these beautiful wild cats in their natural habitat reminded us how special it is to share our landscapes with them.

California's bobcats deserve protection from recreational hunting. Although hunting is currently prohibited, California is reviewing a Bobcat Conservation and Management Plan that could inform future decisions about whether to reopen hunting.

You can help protect bobcats. The public comment deadline is November 1, 2026. If you believe bobcats should remain safe from recreational hunting, please consider making your voice heard by submitting a public comment opposing the return of recreational hunting.
