Bird Photowalk in San Francisco – Lazy Birders Club x Adobe Lightroom

Lazy Birders are excited to lead a sunrise Bird Photo Walk as a part of the annual Worldwide Photo Walk to support Springs of Hope Kenya, a home and education center for orphaned children.

Our relaxed two-hour walk in this urban wetland hotspot will be packed with chances to snap stunning photos of early wintering birds that have already migrated here to enjoy San Francisco's unique climate, as well as the local residents, from sparrows to herons.

We prefer to keep the photo walk to a small, fun group of 8 members, so sign up today!

Photo Walk with Lazy Birders at Heron’s Head Park, San Francisco

The Lazy Birders are waking up early for a special treat — you! Join us for a sunrise Bird Photo Walk at our beautiful birding patch, Heron’s Head Park. Our relaxed two-hour walk in this urban wetland hotspot will be packed with chances to snap stunning photos of shorebirds and other local residents.

We aim to build a fun, supportive community where we can share and learn birding and photography techniques together. After the walk, we’ll have an optional online session to share photos from the walk or simply enjoy beautiful bird photos.

We prefer to keep the photo walk to a small, fun group of 8 members, so sign up today!

Great Backyard Bird Count with Lazy Birders at Heron’s Head Park, San Francisco

Each February, for four days, the world comes together to admire birds during the Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC). Lazy Birders will count birds at their favorite park, the Heron’s Head Park. We will look for shorebirds in the wetlands and basin, songbirds in meadows and shrubs, and learn from one another as we soak in the beauty of birds and the park.

Our collective contributions to GBBC help scientists better understand global bird populations. We hope you’ll join us this year!
